Russia has one more time
found itself in an unstable economic situation, now as an aftermath of
the financial crisis in August. In conditions of countrywide crisis, any
political or financial move might entail a strong movement to one or another
direction. It was only one ill-fated decision that brought about the fall
of the rouble; now, to survive the crisis, Russia has to fulfil a long
list of measures calling for intensive, persistent and well-thought-out
efforts. This does not apply only to the whole country in general, but
to each and every enterprise. Valentine Stepankov, the chairman of the
council of directors of the Perm Engine Plant and a State Duma deputy,
gave an interview to our journal, answering questions about what is going
on at the enterprise now..
