The "Dvigatel" (Engine) journal was initiated by heads of several scientific-research centres, leading design bureaux and manufacturers in Russia, Ukraine and Byelorusssia. The advent of the new journal is very natural: today, it is impossible to image any sphere of humankind activities where engines would not be used. We hope that the journal will have a long and productive life and that from the very beginning it will be a competent and trustworthy source of special information, a club for finding partners and holding productive discussions on various matters of Russian engine-building industry.
